Activities in Kona Area - 1

Other activities in the Kona area include: deep sea fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving; parasailing; bicycling; jogging; bowling; kayaking; playing tennis; site-seeing;  swimming; and hiking.  There are museums, art galleries, dinner cruses, snorkeling cruses, whale watching cruses, and other attractions.

The children's playground on the Queen K Highway, going south toward Captain Cook, is excellent.  Many of the play structures are based upon an island theme.  The playground at the Old Kona Airport in Kailua is also a good place to burn-off a little one's energy.

Kona is a place for relaxing.  It is great for couples and families.  If you want to dance, bar hop and meet people of the opposite sex, go to Honolulu.  Most restaurants in Kona close about 10 p.m.  People tend to go to bed early and get up early to play out doors.
