| This is where the swimming portion of the world famous Ironman
Triathlon is held. The water is calm with small waves. It is on the north side of Kailua Pier on Alii
Drive. One can rent sun cats, paddle boats, etc. All sorts of concessions are available. There
are restrooms close by. One can sit on the beach or buy a drink at the Billfish Bar and watch the opening
ceremony of the Luau, which is shown in this picture. |
